Steps

Windows 10/11 - Option 1 - Settings
  1. From the Start Menu, click Start and select the Settings (gear) icon.
  2. Select System.  The computer name will be at the top of the window next to the image of your wallpaper.
Windows 10/11 - Option 2 - File Explorer
  1. Open File Explorer (file folder icon).
  2. From the left column, navigate to the This PC icon. Right-click on the icon and select Properties.
  3. The computer name will be listed on the About page under Device specifications as Device name.
Windows10/11 - Option 3 - Software Center
  1. From the Start Menu, click Start -> Software Center.
  2. In Software Center, click on the Device Compliance tab.
  3. The computer name will be at the top of the right pane.

 

MacOS Ventura and newer
  1. Click the Apple Menu icon in the top left corner of your screen. Select About This Mac.
  2. Click the More Info... button.  This should open the System Settings window at the General -> About tab.
  3. The computer name is listed at the top of the right pane, where it says Name.

Alternatively

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Select General in the left column.
  3. Computer Name is listed in the About page, as Name
