Error code: CAA50021 when trying to use Office applications on a PC

This indicates that the device's sync with Azure Active Diretory is broken.  An administrator will need to run ”dsregcmd /leave” in an elevated command prompt and restart the device.  After the restart launching an Office app will re-register the device with AAD after authentication.

Please Note that the command prompt was "Run as Administrator"
