General information

Zoom AI Companion is an AI assistant that works across the Zoom platform.  In Zoom meetings, AI Companion provides the following features:

  • In-meeting questions - Quickly catch up and get clarity on what you missed during a meeting without interrupting it.
  • Meeting summary - Generate a summary and next steps of what was discussed in your meetings and share through email and Team Chat.
  • Smart recording - Review cloud recordings faster through highlights, smart chapters, summaries, and next steps, and get analytics on key meeting and conversation factors.

How to enable

You can control AI Companion features in the Zoom web portal. Individual users can enable the AI Companion, and enable or disable specific AI features for their own use, if not locked by an admin at the account or group level.

First, sign in to the Zoom web portal:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  2. Click the AI Companion tab.
  3. Under General, click the AI Companion panel in Zoom Workplace toggle to enable or disable it.
  4. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  5. Click the toggle next to an individual  feature to enable or disable it.

Notes:

  • Some AI Companion features are only available at the account and group levels.
  • If a feature is grayed out, it has been locked at the account or group level and must be changed by an admin.
