Body
Objective
After you have migrated and start your machine for the first time, the Jamf Connect tool will start to complete the final steps. This applies to all macOS accounts, local and Domain (mobile). During this process your accounts will be converted to a local account and your password will be synced with your TrueYou password.
Users
This article applies to all university managed MacOS Computers users who are migrating.
Procedure
The prompts shown are for machines using macOS15 (Sequoia). Your prompts may appear differently based on the version of macOS you are using. For the best experience, it is suggested the device is running the latest version of macOS.

1. After the Jamf Connect components are installed, the Sign In window will open. Enter YourNUID@nebraska.edu and your TrueYou password.

2. If you get a message that your local account password does not match your TrueYou password, enter your local account password (what you have been using to log onto your machine).

3. A message will display confirming that your local account password is now synced to your TrueYou password. Click OK. Your username on your Mac does not change during this process, so continue to log into your Mac after a restart with the same username and your TrueYou password.

4. Periodically, Jamf Connect will check that the local account password is in sync with the TrueYou password. If a password change is detected, Jamf Connect will notify you that a password sync is needed. Click on the notification shown above and repeat the steps above to resynchronize the passwords.
