All Others: Content Without a Category

When creating content, there is always the option to not assign a category. However, you can still make this content available to your desired audience by managing Group visibility.

Steps:

The following screen shots are for a Bridge Course, but similar options are available for other learning content types in Bridge.

  1. From the Course editing page, click on Groups.
A test course in Bridge with the Groups heading highlighted. By default the option is for setting relevance for All Learners, but an additional button appears to add Groups.

  2. If you would like content available to All Learners, click Set Relevance.
    1. From the drop-down menu that appears, select the appropriate option for the audience.
    2. Click Save.

  3. If you do not want the content available to All Learners, click the +Group button.
    1. Type in the group(s) name and select the appropriate option for the audience(s).
    2. Click Save.

Relevance

When setting the relevance, you have three options:

  • Required: Enrolls learners and is marked as required in their My Learning.
  • Recommended: Marked as recommended in the learners' My Learning.
  • Available in Library: Enables visibility in the library.
    • Note: Content set to Available will appear in the All Others Category, which is at the end of the list of categories in the Learning Library.

Set relevance for Required, Recommended, or Available which are defined in the article.
