Overview
If you receive a "You don't currently have access to this service" message after signing in, it means your account does not currently have the role or permissions required to access the service.
This message indicates that authentication was successful, but authorization was not. In other words:
- You successfully signed in.
- The system recognized your account.
- Your account does not currently have the role, affiliation, or permissions required for the service you are attempting to access.

This can occur for several reasons depending on your relationship with the university.
Applicants and Recently Admitted Students
If you are an applicant or recently admitted student attempting to access MyRed, do not use the Log In With MyUNL option.
Your Lincoln account is not activated until you become an active student. Attempting to sign in with MyUNL before your account is active may result in an access denied message.
Instead, use the Log In With NUID option.

After selecting Log In With NUID, you will be redirected to the TrueYou sign-in page.

Sign in using:
- Your NUID followed by @nebraska.edu
- Your TrueYou password
Example: 87654321@nebraska.edu

Alumni accessing MyRed
If you graduated more than one year ago and need to access MyRed to request transcripts or perform other alumni-related tasks, first try signing in to MyRed using your existing TrueYou account.
- Go to myred.nebraska.edu.
- Select "Log in With NUID".
- Sign in using your TrueYou credentials.
If you are able to sign in successfully, no additional action is required.
If you receive the "You don't currently have access to this service" message after signing in, your TrueYou account may need to be reactivated.
Reactivate your TrueYou account
- Go to trueyou.nebraska.edu.
- Select Re-Activate Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity and reactivate your account.

After successfully reactivating your account, sign in to MyRed again using your TrueYou credentials.
Note: Once your TrueYou account has been reactivated, sign in to MyRed using your reactivated credentials. Your first successful login starts the profile rebuild process. It may take up to 24 hours after that login for MyRed to restore your profile and provide access to services such as transcript requests.
