Objective
If you are a scheduler from UNK, UNL, UNMC, UNO, CSC or WSC that needs to use the EMS full client to schedule rooms, follow the procedure below. There are separate sections if you are a Windows or Mac user, so make sure you are in the appropriate section.
Users
UNK, UNL, UNMC, UNO, CSC and WSC faculty, staff and students that are designated as schedulers for their area/campus.
Before you Begin
Contact your campus EMS security coordinator to be give access to EMS:
Procedure
This document contains the following sections:
Installing the EMS Client (Windows)
Download via Software Center (UNK, UNL and UNO only)

1. Type "Software Center" in the Search box beside the Windows button.
2. Click Open in the search results.

3. If necessary, click Applications in the left nav bar.
4. Click the EMS icon to download the installation files.
5. Two files will be downloaded:
- emswebdeployconfiguration.cfg - This file is accessed by EMS to pull in the server address.
- EMSApplication.exe - This file installs EMS.
- If you see a message asking if you want to download an "unsupported" file, choose to do so. The exact message and procedure may vary according to your browser.

6. Once downloaded, click the EMS Application.exe file to begin installation.

7. If you are presented with the message above, enter (or copy and paste):
- UNMC: https://scheduling.nebraska.edu/EmsDesktopWebDeploy/
- CSC and WSC: https://emsprdsc.nebraska.edu/EmsDesktopWebDeploy/
8. Click OK.
9. A shortcut icon to the EMS client should now be on your Desktop. Double click the icon to launch EMS.

10. Log in using your EMS user ID and password.

Installing the EMS Client (Macintosh)
The EMS Desktop Deploy client is not compatible for Macintosh devices. If you have a Mac, you can utilize a program such as Parallels to put a Windows partition on your machine and then you can install it there. Or you may be able to work with your campus IT dept to find an alternative virtual option or other alternative.
