Overview/Background

The NUSupport client portal contains a wealth of information on the services provided by NU ITS and can become your one-stop-shop for finding information about services, help on using these services, and request forms for obtaining services. There are several ways to search the contents of the client portal to quickly find the information you are looking for and the results you get will depend on where you begin your search.

Steps

From the Home page

Searching the Entire Client Portal

1. Enter your search term in the Search box in the upper right corner of the Home page.

2. All matching results are shown in a drop down list. Logging into the portal may return additional results.

  • A light bulb icon indicates a Knowledge Base article title contains your search term.
  • A compass icon indicates a Service matches your search term.

3. Click on an item in the list to go to that result.

4. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass to see the full list of search results.

Searching just the Knowledge Base or Service Catalog

1. Click the arrow to the left of the Search box and choose to only search the Service Catalog or Knowledge Base.

2. Enter your search term.

3. Press Enter or click the magnifying glass.

4. All entries matching your term are displayed.

Searching Within the Service Catalog or Knowledge Base

1. Click on Services or Knowledge Base in the red toolbar.

2. Click on Search on the secondary toolbar.

3. Use the filter options to narrow your search options.
