Manual eduroam Setup for Android or Chromebook Devices
On your device, navigate to the area where you can view all Wi-Fi networks that are in range and select eduroam from the list of available networks.
Use the following settings to configure your device. Not all settings may be required to connect your device to eduroam.
- Security: 802.1x EAP or WPA/WPA2-Enterprise
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase-2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
- Proxy Settings: none
- IP Settings: DHCP
- CA Certificate: Use System Certificates
- Online Certificate Status: Request Certificate Status
- Domain: nebraska.edu
- Identity: Your TrueYou Username, in the format
NUID@nebraska.edu.
- Anonymous Identity (optional):
anonymous@nebraska.edu — Using this setting will keep your identity private when visiting eduroam locations outside of the University of Nebraska System. This field can also be left empty.
- Password: Your TrueYou Password.
If you previously connected to NU-Guest, remove or ‘forget’ that SSID from your list of preferred networks.

If your device cannot connect to eduroam wireless after following these instructions, please try the Wireless Network Configuration Utility, create a Network Support Request, or call the campus Help Desk.
