Objective
This will provide a high level overview, and detailed instructions on how to sanitize, wipe, and retire digital media. These steps should be followed for all devices before they are reused, retired, or sent for disposal.

Before You Begin
Before performing the media sanitization procedures, ensure that all required data has been copied from the device and verified. Once the sanitization process is complete, the data cannot be recovered. Any information that has not been backed up prior to sanitization will be permanently lost.
