Overview/Background
The Future Ready Cloud Collaboration project will have several impacts to emails and calendaring in Outlook.
Email
- You will log into Outlook with YourNUID@nebraska.edu and your TrueYou password.
- You will still use your same campus-branded email address to send and receive email. Until everyone on the UNK, UNL and UNO campuses have migrated, recipients may see YourNUID@nebraska.edu various places, but your email address will remain the same.
- All of the following will be migrated:
- Emails
- Folders
- Permissions
- Rules
- Signatures
Shared Email Mailboxes
- All of your shared mailboxes will still be available.
- However, keep the following in mind when deciding on the timing of migrating your shared email mailboxes:
- After a shared mailbox migrates, only @nebraska.edu users (people that have migrated) can access it, so it should be scheduled to migrate when the majority of people that need to access it migrate.
- After a shared mailbox migrates, students won't be able to access it until they migrate, which is after the rest of the campus users have migrated. So, if students are the majority of users that need to access the mailbox, wait to migrate it when the students move.

Calendars
- All of your calendar entries will be migrated.
- Permissions to view and/or manage your calendar will be migrated.
- As people are migrated, their calendar entries will be recreated, which may cause you to receive new notifications for invites you have already accepted.
- Links to attachments from OneDrive or SharePoint within meeting invites will need to be re-created.
- You will need to re-open the calendar for someone after they have migrated to be able to view it.
