Adding a Teacher to System Generated course
If you are looking to be added to a course that you’ll be teaching, this may not be something that IT can resolve for you. Canvas pulls its data from multiple sources including PeopleSoft, Courseleaf, and MyRed. If you were added to the course manually, when the system updates (which is multiple times per day) it will just remove you from the class. This is because the data feed that comes from the registrar's office does not show that you are a teacher of record for the course.
The only way to correct that is to visit with your HR associate in your department and make sure that your name is assigned as an instructor for the course. Once you have been appointed through your HR associate, your access to the course will be restored.
It is also suggested to contact your direct supervisor or whomever in your department is responsible for submitting Courseleaf information.
