UNO Canvas Login Links for Students, Faculty, and Staff

Objective

This is a brief article to properly layout the process of accessing UNO's canvas.

Users

Students, Faculty, and Staff that have a variety work to handle within UNO's Canvas system.

Steps

List the steps and include screen shots when necessary:

  1. Go to my.unomaha.edu and choose the Canvas link under the "Classroom and Research Tools" section.

  2. After arriving at the canvas landing page, you will see the following options on the right hand side of the screen:  
    1. Login to Canvas UNO - This is used by UNO Students, Faculty and Staff, to access canvas 
    2. Login to Canvas - UNMC user - This is used by users who are primarily UNMC users accessing canvas
    3. Login to Canvas - UNL user - This is used by users who are primarily UNL users accessing canvas (i.e.: Engineering Students)
    4. Login to Canvas - UNK user - This is used by users who are primarily UNK users accessing canvas
    5. Login to Canvas - Visitor - This is used by users who are primarily guest users accessing canvas (i.e.: Guest Speakers, any external users who a variety of reasons needs to access a canvas site)
  3. After you have selected the appropriate button, you can use your campus NetID or your University System NUID for the username, and your standard university password (that is used to log into your campus email, TrueYou, MavLINK, or other such services) to log in.
  4. Additional Info: 
    1. Please note that you will be unable to log into canvas for the first unless you have an active course. (i.e.: If you are an incoming freshman and are not yet enrolled or taking online orientation canvas may error out when you attempt to log in.)
    2. Please also note that courses can take up to 24 hours to appear when you enroll and may not be yet posted to canvas before the first week of classes. If the semester has started and classes you previously enrolled in have not yet shown up (i.e.: You enrolled in them over 24 hours ago and it is the third day of the semester and nothing has shown up) we recommend you reach out to your professor directly.

    1. If you need any further help with accessing canvas please either email support@nebraska.edu, which send a ticket into your Help Desk, or call 402-554-4357, which will route you to the UNO MavTECH Help Center.
