Background
After your account has migrated, you may be unable to modify or cancel meetings that you own. Recurring meetings and Team meetings appear to have a higher likelihood of this occurring.
This is not expected behavior and ITS is working closely with our migration partners on a resolution.
Workaround
The faulty calendar entries are still owned by your old campus account. At this time, there are two suggested workarounds.
1. To reduce confusion over cancelled meetings that may remain on Outlook calendars, you can send an email to the people included on the meeting invite, telling them the meeting is being cancelled and asking them to please decline the invite at this time in order to remove it from their calendar. You can then share that you will be rescheduling and let them know the new date/time. Example email text is included below.
"I need to cancel our x:00 pm meeting on {date}. Due to unforeseen issues with the Microsoft project, I am not able to delete/cancel this calendar invite at this time. Please decline this existing calendar invite in your Outlook calendar. I will reschedule this meeting for {insert new date/time} and will be sending a new calendar invite your way shortly."
2. You can request access back into your old campus account and cancel the meeting from there. Once cancelled you can reschedule the meeting from your new account.
Information on how to request access back into your old campus account can be found here. Please note that this request can only be made 3 times so plan accordingly.
