ITS Lecture Capture allows faculty and staff to schedule an automatic recording of their classroom lectures.
Benefits & Features
As an instructor, you may already be familiar with the benefits of recording your lectures for students who miss class or wish to review your lecture material. But did you know that certain classrooms at the university offer automatic lecture capturing, giving you even more tools to enhance your students’ learning experience?
When you use the automatic lecture capture rooms, your videos will be seamlessly uploaded to UNL's designated academic video platform, making it easy for students to access and review them. Plus, you only need to request the recordings once at the beginning of the semester, saving you time and hassle.
These recordings are captured by a specialized media device, which means you have the option to capture not only what's on your computer screen but also a document camera, allowing for a more dynamic and engaging teaching experience. And with the recordings available in your My Media area, you can easily share them with your students by dragging and dropping them into a folder that they have permission to view.
