Getting Started

To request access or app publishing support, follow these steps:

1. Submit a Service Request: Use the request form on this page to begin the process.

2. Developer Access Requirements:

  •  Students must have a faculty sponsor

3. App Publishing Requirements: Provide the following details:

  • Desired App Name
  • Faculty/Staff Representative Contact Information
  • General Support & Maintenance Plan (Including user support contact details)
  • Developer Contact(s) (Individuals responsible for building and publishing the app)
  • Platform Details: Apple and/or Android specifications

4. App Bundle Requirements:

  • Platforms (iOS, Android, or both)
  • Primary Language
  • Required App Capabilities/Permissions
  • Unique Bundle ID (Must follow the format: edu.unl.[dept].[appname])

 

Eligibility

Faculty, Staff, and Students (Students must have a faculty sponsor) are eligible to request developer access.

App Publishing Approval Process:

  • All applications must undergo an internal review and approval process.
  • Approval time varies, please plan accordingly. If publishing the first time this can take 30-60 days or more.
  • Additional consultation with ITS may be required to finalize your app submission.
