Huskertech Laptop Checkout - UNL

Benefits & Features

We offer 7-day laptop checkouts as well as semester-long checkouts. Mac and Dell laptops are available.Checkout equipment is available to all currently enrolled UNL students. Two forms of photo ID must be provided, and one of those must be a valid NCard. All equipment must be returned by the due date and time or late fees will be charged.

Getting Started

  1. Go to one of the locations offering checkout.
  2. Bring a photo ID and a valid NCard.
  3. All equipment must be returned by the due date and time or late fees will be assessed.
  • Limit one 7-day device checkout per student at a time.
  • Four-hour accessory checkouts are available for all accessories with one renewal.
  • The $21 per day Late Fee remains in effect and will accrue over weekends.
  • Students returning a laptop or iPad cannot check out another device from any HuskerTech location until the start of the next business day.

Eligibility

Checkout equipment is available to all currently enrolled UNL students. Two forms of photo ID must be provided, and one of those must be a valid NCard. All equipment must be returned by the due date and time or late fees will be charged.

Pricing

This is a free service provided to all currently enrolled UNL students who pay the Student Technology Fee.

If equipment is returned after the due date and time, there is a $21 per-day late fee.

Your due date and time can be found on the receipt emailed to you when you checked out the equipment.

Requirements

  • You are responsible for the full replacement cost of any equipment that is stolen, damaged, or lost while it is checked out to you.
  • You may not checkout equipment for other students, non-students, or suspended users.
  • You must return the equipment by the due date and time, or a $21 per day late fee will be assessed.
  • Equipment not returned in a timely manner as described in the checkout agreement email will result in late fees, a hold on your registration, and/or report to law enforcement.
  • Repeated incidents of damage, late equipment returns, or other violations of the checkout agreement may result in the revocation of checkout equipment privileges.

Additional Information

Late fees can be paid at the HuskerTech Help Center located in the basement of Love Library South, Room 31.

We accept N-Card and Debit/Credit Cards.
