Manual Setup - eduroam for macOS

Manual eduroam Setup for macOS

  • On your Mac, navigate to the Wi-Fi icon in the top right of your desktop to view all Wi-Fi networks that are in range and select eduroam from the list of available networks.
  • Your Mac will now prompt you to log in to the network. Authenticate with your fully-qualified TrueYou Username, in the format NUID@nebraska.edu. The username must include the @nebraska.edu domain. Enter your TrueYou Password when prompted.
  • Verify that the certificate presented is issued to nu-net.nebraska.edu, then click Continue to accept it. Authenticate using your local macOS credentials if prompted.

Please Note:

  • If you previously connected to NU-Guest, remove or "forget" that SSID from your list of preferred networks.
  • High-risk Apple devices managed by the University cannot use the SecureW2 tool, as they are unable to install new configuration profiles.
