Connecting to Guest WiFi (NU-Guest)

Objective

To connect to the NU-Guest network

Users

  • Anyone not affiliated with UNO who needs access to the Internet

Before You Begin

  • If you are a current student or faculty/staff member, connect to eduroam instead of NU-Guest
  • If you are on Android based device you may need to use Example.com in your browser to get the Guest Portal to Appear

Steps

  1. On your device, go to your network connection, and select NU-Guest from the list.
  2. On the browser pop-up window, select Create Account
  3. Fill in the required questions
    • Name : Full Name
    • Email : This will become your username
    • Reason for your visit
    • Select how you would like your credentials sent & fill out required information
      • Email
        • Credentials will be sent to the email entered above
      • Text Message
        • Phone Number : 10 Digit Phone Number
        • Mobile Device Carrier
      • Both
        • Phone Number : 10 Digit Phone Number
        • Mobile Device Carrier
        • Credentials will be sent to the email entered above
  4. Agree to terms of use
  5. Select Register
  6. Check your email/messages and you should have received a username and password.
  7. Go back to the NU-Guest network, and when the window pops up enter your username and password, and you should be connected to NU-Guest

    NU-Guest Conference Hosting

    If you're organizing a medium to large visiting group or conference at any University of Nebraska campus and need guest access to the wireless network, faculty and staff members can request a Guest login. After submitting your request, you'll receive a guest username and password specifically for your event. Request Guest Conference WiFi.
