Run a gpupdate to refresh Group Policies

Objective

Refresh assigned group policy objects on your computer

Users

Run as instructed by technicians or if you need to get drives remapped to your computer

Steps

List the steps and include screen shots when necessary:

  1. Press Windows key + R
  2. Type "cmd" and press return or press ok
  3. In the pop up window type "gpupdate /force"
  4. You should receive a message when it has completed:
    1. Message: "Computer Policy update has completed successfully. User Policy update has completed successfully."
  5. Once completed you can close the window and check for drives in File Explorer again
