Description of Error
When trying to install an application from the Adobe Creative Cloud application and you receive the message: “You don’t have access to manage apps”
Resolution / Next Steps
Follow the directions below to fix this error on a Windows computer.

Sign out of the Creative Cloud application

Close the Creative Cloud application

Open a new File Explorer window
-
Locate the following folder:
“C:/Program Files(x86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE/”

Right click the Configs folder and choose Cut
[Be sure not to Copy, but Cut this folder we need it to be gone from the current location]

Paste the Configs folder on the Desktop
-
Close all application and restart the computer
-
Login in to your computer
-
Open the Creative Cloud application and login to your Adobe account
-
The Adobe apps should populate and you can now install the desired applications

Delete the Configs folder on the Desktop
Follow the directions below to fix this error on macOS.

Sign out of the Create Cloud application

Go to the Creative Cloud Menu and Quit the application

Open a new Finder window
-
Click on the Go menu
-
Choose Go to Folder. . .

In the Go to Folder. . . box enter
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/

Then click Go
-
Right click [control+click] the Configs folder and choose Copy “Configs”
-
Paste the Configs folder on the Desktop
-
Next go back to the OOBE folder and right click [control+click] the Configs folder and select Move to Trash
Note: you may need to enter your computers password to perform this action.

Launch the Creative Cloud application
-
Login to your Adobe account
-
The Adobe apps should populate and you can now install the desired applications

Move the Configs folder on the Desktop to the Trash
