Running the Jamf Connect Tool after Migration - Mac

Objective

After you have migrated and start your machine for the first time, the Jamf Connect tool will start to complete the final steps.

Procedure

The prompts shown are for machines using macOS15 (Sequoia). Your prompts may appear differently based on the version of macOS you are using. For the best experience, it is suggested the device is running the latest version of macOS.

Enter yourNUID@nebraska.edu and TrueYou password

1. After the Jamf Connect components are installed, the Sign In window will open. Enter YourNUID@nebraska.edu and your TrueYou password.

Enter your local account password.

2. If you get a message that your local account password does not match your TrueYou password, enter your local account password (what you have been using to log onto your machine).

Click OK.

3. A message will display confirming that your local account password is now synced to your TrueYou password. Click OK. Your username on your Mac does not change during this process, so continue to log into your Mac after a restart with the same username and your TrueYou password.

4. Periodically, Jamf Connect will check that the local account password is in sync with the TrueYou password. If a password change is detected, Jamf Connect will notify you that a password sync is needed. Click on the notification shown above and repeat the steps above to resynchronize the passwords.
