Overview/Background
The Future Ready Cloud Collaboration project will impact all OneDrive content, since the location and user IDs are changing. How you should share items with others after you migrate is also changing and will depend on whether the recipient has also migrated or not.
Links to Documents/Shared Documents
- Links that you have created to documents will change and will need to be recreated, including links in Canvas.
- Documents you have shared with others will need to be reshared.
- Note: When you create a link to a document in your OneDrive or share it with someone else, your User ID and the User ID of the recipient are both part of the link they receive. Since users are being migrated at different times, it is possible that the recipient has not yet had their account migrated when you create the link and you may need to do it again after they are migrated.

Sync
- OneDrive will resync to your desktop if you have desktop sync set up. This could take a while and all of your data may not be there on first login. The sync process will start with the newest documents first and go backward from there.
- While the changes are being propagated, you may see an error in the OneDrive sync app that "One or more libraries couldn't be synced". If you see this error, you should restart the sync app.
Users with Multiple Accounts
- If you have accounts on multiple campuses, your files from each campus will be moved into your new OneDrive location in a high-level folder with each campus name. From there, you can choose to move those files/folders out of that campus folder if you would like.
