Using Forgot your Password to Reset your Password

Find your forgotten TrueYou password

Before You Begin

You will need Your NUID. You may need your email address, or social security number if you do not know your NUID.

Steps

1. Navigate to trueyou.nebraska.edu.
2. Click on the Forgot Password link under the Manage Your Accounts heading.
3. It will ask you if you know your NUID.
   1. If you know your NUID, click YES and provide your NUID in the box given. Then provide a personal email address associated with your account.
   2. If you do not know your NUID, click NO. It will then ask for an email account associated with your account. Provide your personal email address that is associated with your account.
   3. If you do not have a personal email address connected, click on Provide other identification to lookup NUID. This will ask for the following personal identification information
      • First Name
      • Middle Name
      • Last Name
      • Date of Birth
      • Legal Sex
        • Female
        • Male
        • Intersex and/or Nonbinary
      • SSN Missing SSN 

        If you do not have a SSN or did not provide your SSN to your institution you will need to contact your Campus Helpdesk

   4. Click Lookup Account ID
   5. Once you have your NUID, go back to the Forgot Password Page. Click YES and provide your NUID in the box given. Then provide a personal email address associated with your account.
