How to find your computer's hostname.

Steps

Windows 11
  1. From the Start Menu, click Start and select the Settings (gear) icon.
  2. Select System.  The computer name will be at the top of the window next to the image of your wallpaper.
Windows 10
  1. Open File Explorer (file folder icon).
  2. From the left column, navigate to the This PC icon. Right-click on the icon and select Properties.
  3. The computer name will be listed on the About page under Device specifications as Device name.
MacOS Ventura and newer

  1. Click the Apple Menu icon in the top left corner of your screen. Select About This Mac.

  2. Click the More Info... button

Alternatively

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Select General in the left column.
  3. Computer Name is listed in the About page, as Name
