Duo - YubiKey Security Key Enrollment - Windows

Learn how to enroll a Yubikey into your Duo account for multifactor authentication (MFA).

Before You Begin

To get started, you will need a Yubikey security key.  If you do not have a YubiKey, please request one via the Yubikey Request Form.

Steps

Visit trueyou.nebraska.edu

1. Select Login

Select 'TrueYou Identity Manager'

2. Login

3. Once you access the "My Account" page, select "Two-Factor Management".

4. On the, "Manage Your Two-Factor Devices" page, select the link, "Manage TrueYou Two-Factor Devices".

4. A new browser tab will open and ask you to perform a two-factor log in. Note: you can use phone call or SMS text messaging during this step, but those options are not available when accessing other services.

5. Ensure your security key is inserted into your laptop or workstation USB port. You should now see all your registered devices. Click 'Add a Device' to enroll a new device.

 6. Select 'Security Key'.

7. Once you see the, "Save your passkey", window appear, tap the flashing light on your YubiKey security key.

 11. Once processed, you're done! The next time you access a Duo-protected service, you can use the passkey option and tapping your YubiKey device.
