Adding a File Location to your Quick Access area in the Windows App

Objective

If you have a place where you commonly store files to upload to EMS, adding an item to the Quick Access area can save time in having to navigate through the folder structure to it. This article shows the procedure for adding a file location to the Quick Access area in the Windows app. The file location can be on a local machine, a shared drive or a synched OneDrive location.

Before You Begin

You should have the Windows App installed

Steps

1. Navigate to add an attachment.

2. In the Find Attachment window, the Quick Access area is on the left, giving quick access to specific file locations. By default, these are all locations on your virtual machine and most likely, you will not want to upload files from or export files to these locations.

3. To add a location – Navigate to the location you wish to add.

4. Right-click on the file location and choose Pin to Quick access.

5. The new location will be listed in the Quick Access area.

6. To remove a location, click the thumbtack icon to the right of the location name
