Impact of Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Project on Microsoft Applications

Tags MS365 FRCCW

Overview/Background

The Future Ready Cloud Collaboration project will impact many Microsoft Apps, since the location and user IDs (UPNs) are changing.

All Microsoft 365 apps (Forms, Planner, Bookings, Stream, Loop, Lists, etc.)

  • The first time you access an app after migration, you may be asked to login with your UPN (NUID@nebraska.edu).
  • All of your content will be migrated to the new location.
  • Any links you have created to content in any Microsoft 365 app (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, Planner, Forms, etc.) will need to be recreated.
  • Any Microsoft 365 object (site, document, page, list, library, etc.) you have shared will need to be reshared.
  • Note:  When you create a link to a document, plan, form, list or any other item, or share an item with someone else, your UPN and the UPN of the recipient are both part of the link they receive. Since users are being migrated at different times, it is possible that the recipient has not yet had their account migrated when you create the link and you may need to do it again after they are migrated.

Link Example

  • Any item you are using in a PowerAutomate or workflow will need to be reconnected to its new location.
