Microsoft Outlook is the official Email tool for the University of Nebraska System


The University of Nebraska System uses YuJa as our academic video content management solution. YuJa is an all-in-one video experience to securely create, manage, discover, and collaborate video content across any device.


The ITS Client Services team has dedicated staff available in Help Centers on all three campuses to assist faculty, staff, and students with various IT services.

ITS provides access to Adobe tools that support creating, editing, and managing digital content for academic, administrative, and creative work. Available Adobe options include Adobe Express (for UNL students, and faculty and staff), Adobe Acrobat Pro (for faculty and staff), and Adobe Creative Cloud licenses (available by request for UNL students, and faculty and staff).


Firefly is the online enterprise portal for both the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska State College System. It serves as your single access point to business-related information. From this one website you can also access—and in some cases, even update—your personal data.

For most campuses, you will use your 8-digit NUID number (TrueYou) and password.

Microsoft OneDrive is cloud storage that you can get to from anywhere. It helps you stay organized, access your important documents, photos, and other files from any device, and share those files with coworkers, students and external collaborators.


A virtual private network (VPN) provides a secure connection to university networks from anywhere.


Email Lists allow users the ability to send to large groups of users. Mailman is designed specifically for groups who are needing to communicate to large groups of people including those outside of the University system.


Campus telephone service is provided using Voice over IP (VoIP) technology, which operates on a more robust and redundant infrastructure while offering most of the same features you are familiar with from legacy landline phones, but with quicker turnaround times for new installations and configuration changes.


Desktop Support is an area whose primary role is the direct support of end users with their hardware and software needs. Our mission is to provide professional and respectable support of hardware and software needs of Students/Faculty/Staff on each campus.


A SharePoint site is accessed like a website with a URL, but its administrators and users build content via SharePoint's intuitive interface.


Zoom is a cloud-based web collaboration service that connects multiple conference rooms and remote users for online classes, meetings, and group projects.


Canvas (by Instructure) is a cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that is currently used by more than 700 colleges and universities around the world. Canvas is the LMS at all four of the University of Nebraska campuses (UNK, UNL, UNMC, UNO).
